When a woman is infected by overgrowth of yeast in vagina, she most commonly experiences a discharge which is thicker. Simply, the discharge appears very similar to cottage cheese. In addition, the discharge is generally accompanied by an intolerable foul smell. However, in a few women, the unpleasant smell may also impersonate the smell of the yeast or bread. Thicker vaginal discharge with unpleasant smell is the strongest indicator of the vaginal yeast infection.
